Counseling - The StillWaters Program

HeartWorks’ StillWaters counseling program has provided individual and group help for students in Pamlico County since 2003. Offered year-round at each public school, Arapahoe Charter School, HeartWorks Safe Harbor Youth Center, and at HeartWorks StillWaters facility, this in-school and in-program counseling opportunity helps parents overcome the significant barrier of transporting a child to appointments and ensures that the students most in need of these services receive them.

StillWaters accepts referrals from school counselors, court counselors, physicians, parents, community providers, and other mental health agencies. Designed to identify and treat mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, anti-social behavior, anger, and poor social skills, the StillWaters program is supported by NC Department of Public Safety Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) grant funds, insurance and patient-paid fees, individual and corporate donations, and fundraising.
