Stillwaters, a program of HeartWorks, is seeking a Social Worker to be a team member of the 21st Century Community Learning AfterSchool Program. The HeartWorks Social Worker will support the AfterSchool Program in addressing the social, emotional, and developmental needs of youth and families. The Social Worker will work closely with the Program Director, Teachers, Staff, Local Providers, children, and families to implement high quality and free after-school programming for youth.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Social Work Degree, have experience working with children individually, in groups, and with their families. This is a 41-week program following the Pamlico Schools calendar. Hours during programming are from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Some occasional evenings and days are required. Wages are competitive and commensurate with experience.

HeartWorks 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool program seeks highly motivated individuals to work as substitute teachers or teacher aides for students in grades K-8. Applicants must be able to work in a team environment with staff and parents and must posses a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to first day of work. This position requires the substitute teacher or aide to work at least 3 hours at the end of a school day when called upon. Wages are competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
